Wildlife and conservation have been integral to South Africa’s heritage and identity,

but slowly and in some cases rapidly, are being damaged, hurt, and face the real possibility of never being seen again.

The Southern African Wildlife College (https://wildlifecollege.org.za/) is based adjacent to the Kruger National Park, and has trained over 18 000 field rangers and conservationists.

Two of their keystone courses are Field Ranger Law Enforcement – Unarmed and Field Ranger Law Enforcement – Armed. These candidates are on the front lines in the fight against wildlife crime.

Many of the candidates who attend are unable to afford basic field gear, like training shoes.

Give it Horns aims to collect used sneakers, as well as collect monetary donations, to purchase new sneakers and field boots, for at least 50 ranger trainees, twice a year.

Alongside our partners, we train and support wildlife rangers, provide financial and direct support to community education and outreach projects, and collaborate with our partners on wildlife rescues, de-snaring operations, rhino dehornings, and more. We also work to build a bridge between good people who want to help and credible, vetted conservation organizations here in Southern Africa.
